Goodbye Daddy, Hello Fun!

I'm the king of the world! Ashten
Anderson
Ben is looking for a new place to call home
This morning we took Daddy to the airport to go back to the Philippines. We are all sad and will miss him tons. The boys took it harder than ever this time, but I promised that I would keep them busy and that we'd have lots of fun. So we started off the day by going to the Commons to meet Valerie and the boys. We ate lunch and played on the train and went to Target. After Valerie left, the boys and I went over to the bookstore and looked around for awhile, we found these sticker books that the boys love for 12.95 each, so I decided that I would take them to Costco and get the same ones for just 7.49 for our upcoming road trip to Idaho. What a savings! The boys saw the Halloween Spirit store right near Costco so we went there and picked up some helmets for their Firemen costumes. All four of us had the best time trying on masks and watching the scary robotic ghouls that they had on display there. I tried to scare AJ with some of the masks and the only one that got a reaction was this one:
For a minute anyway, then he thought it was pretty funny after he figured out that it was me:
We headed to the library after that. The boys played computer games and played with the puppets and I picked up some books on tape for the road trip. I listened to my book on the way home from the library and the boys informed me of every bad word they heard.
Ayden: "Mommy, she shouldn't say 'stupid'!"
Ayden: "Why is she saying 'butt'? She shouldn't say that."
Me: "Okay, I know she shouldn't say that, but let's not keep repeating every word she says okay?"
Ashten: "butt, butt, butt"
POWER OFF!!
I guess I'll have to save my book for when the kids are listening to their movie with their headphones on!

Maritime Fest 2008

What a group!
On the train: Liliana, AJ, and Ashten
Anderson and the Betenson's
As usual someone is making a face, but it's NOT Aunt Kristin this time?!?
Ayden, Nofo Jr, and Sione
Mariah and Marisela
Mommies and Kids
Ayden and the fireman had a long talk about something...I'll have to have him fill me in later
Ashten loved the firetruck...they both want to be firemen for Halloween Ayden, Nofo Jr, Sione, and Liliana (my new adopted daughter she called me Momma the whole time, I told her she can come live with us if she will change AJ's poopy diapers)
The babies always get left out...literally This is the inside of the fish...isn't it cool? I couldn't see well in there but I was surprised when I got home and looked at the pictures how awesome it looks. Also, Ashten is holding his nose...the kids all said it smelled like fish inside. Today, we went to the Maritime Festival with the Ngata family. It was such a nice day. We started out over at the Tacoma Rail Open House. We played games, rode the train, toured a train and fire truck, and looked at the model trains. It was a lot of fun. Armand and Nofo met us afterwards for lunch. From there we went over to the Maritime Festival over at the waterfront. We saw pirates and got to play with their guns and cannonballs! The kids really liked this booth. We also caught and released fish, watched the Dragon Boats race, toured a police and fire boat, and had the best time walking around with our friends.
I thought this was pretty funny so I thought I'd share:
After all the fun today we went over to Wes and Kristin's house to hang out. Armand took Dad, Wes, Ayden, and Ashten over to our house to see the newest trailer that Armand had built. Armand was talking about the trailer and this is what happened next:
Ayden: Daddy, stop talking so much, you're giving me a headache.
Papa: Ayden, have you ever given anyone a headache?
Ayden: Mommy!
He is SO right!

Boys Boys Boys

Ashten, Josh, Ben, and Ayden Dog Pile!
The VanderHoeven's invited us to go play at the Choo Choo Train. The boys have so much fun together, inventing new ways to do regular things like go down a slide. I love watching them all play together their ages are 2,3,4,and 9 and watching Josh gives me an idea of what I have to look forward to in years ahead...scary!
