Spray Park

AJ saw the water spraying everywhere and screamed. He did not care about lunch he just wanted to get out there and play.
Ayden trying to turn on the water, I don't know if anyone gets how to turn it on. The new turtle gun Ayden was attached to pretty much the whole time.

Ashty took this picture of AJ and I

It was HOT!
We had a great time today at the spray park in Auburn. It was so nice outside I could not just sit home with the kids. We stopped by Walmart to pick up some lunch and then headed to the park for a picnic. Ayden and Ashten loved the new turtle guns that they put in. Anderson loved the water that sprays from the ground. We are looking forward to lots more trips down there this summer.

The Architect

Ayden and his house Ayden's gutter system The Christmas tree room
The fish tank
Ayden was working hard this morning on a project, I came in to see what was going on. He asked me to start helping him tear tape for him. He worked for several hours making the house with very little help actually. My only idea was to make the fish tank, everything else was all him.

Bowl - O - Rama

Ayden about to bowl a...
STRIKE!! AJ was very tired, he had just woken up from a nap (at 9pm)
Armand played very well
So did Dad (and Ashten is on the left)
Papa. AJ, Ayden, and Grammy
Nice one, Ashten
This evening after a stamping show in the morning and a BBQ at Mom and Dad's house in the afternoon, I had a great plan...bowling! I was surprised that everyone was up for it. We packed up the kids and went up to Secoma Lanes. I haven't been bowling since I was a teenager, but I couldn't believe that for 6 people it cost $72.00! Anyway, it was worth it. The boys had so much fun knocking down pins. They had their own lane so they could play with the bumpers up. Ayden was a little pro though there were very few times out of the two games that he even touched the sides. He rolled several strikes, more than I did that's for sure, and he probably even scored higher than some of the adults;)

Bird Catchers

The seed The trappers: Ayden and the blue blob behind him is Ashten
I think he might have been secretly eating the seed under his blankie? I had the bird seed out to give to Mom for her new birdhouse, but the kids came up with a brilliant idea. They filled a bowl with the seeds, grabbed their blankets from their beds and hid under them. They stayed there for quite awhile hoping some poor unsuspecting bird would fall for their little scheme. Obviously, birds are smarter than we give them credit for. Maybe next time, guys!

Happy Mother's Day

Grammy Ayden and Ashten Anderson - he loves to say cheese
ArmandCarol and Mick and PapaUncle Mark, Aunt Shar, and LydiaToni - looking guilty with her brownie. I had planned to have Mom and Dad over and Armand was going to cook us dinner. It started to feel there wasn't enough time to do everything we wanted to fit in between church, visiting Kathy, dinner, and school. So we decided that we would have dinner at the hospital. I brought my laptop and had school right in the cafeteria during dinner. It worked out pretty good and I was so happy not to have to worry about the house getting cleaned after the party. Shar had also planned to have some dessert at the waiting room for Mother's Day also.

Kathy's Entourage

Aunt Kathy This is only a small part of the family she had waiting for her at the hospital
Kristy, Mark, Toni, Grandma, Eric, Kathy A, Jeanie, and Terry
The boys played games...I think there were 8 laptops total
(some of us did responsible things like homework)
Dad, Wes, and NickToday Aunt Kathy is having brain surgery to remove a tumor. She went to the ER a few days ago having not felt well for a few weeks. They found that she has a mass on her kidney and in her brain. After many prayers, blessings, and some gentle pushing from her loved ones, she decided to go for the surgery. It took many hours, but this was the scene in the waiting room at St. Joe's. Everyone knows how much Kathy loves family gatherings, I think when she busts out of the hospital, and hears about what she missed she will be pretty jealous;)
We love you, Kathy!! Come home soon!
