AJ was more than happy to have a break from his car seat, because even though we had stopped several times before dinner, this was his first time out of his seat.
Today, we are going to California. The kids think we are doing some boring errands that have to do with Daddy's work. Armand and I decided that it would be funny and a good experiment to NOT tell the kids that we were driving to Disneyland, to avoid all the 'are we there yets'. We left at about 9am to go pick up Armand from work. First we had to drop off some stuff at Megan's parents, and Valerie's house. Then we were off to get gas and a car wash. Before we even made it there, Ayden threw up. We cleaned up and were on our way. After we got Armand he drove and within 2 hours he got a ticket for speeding. We were off to a great start. Our experiment worked perfectly the kids did not ask any of the obnoxious road trip questions, we didn't even have to break out the DVD player until late evening. At about one in the morning we stopped and got a hotel at the nasty Motel 6 in Northern California. I hated that we had to pay $56.00 for a smoke smelling "non smoking" room, but it was a break from the car that I needed
